When you take a picture in Onomi, the image is analysed on your device using Apple's built-in Vision framework to work out what objects are in it. That analysis happens entirely on your phone. The photo is never uploaded, never sent to us, and never sent to anyone else.
A temporary copy of the picture is written to Onomi's own private storage area on your device so it can be shown on screen while you tap the labels. It is not added to your photo library, and it is removed when iOS reclaims that space or when you delete the app. We never receive it.
The words you collect, your review history and your progress toward the weekly goals are stored in a database file on your device only. None of it is sent anywhere, and we have no way to see it. Deleting the app deletes all of it permanently, so there is no copy for us or anyone else to hold.
Spoken pronunciation uses Apple's speech synthesis built into iOS. No recording is made and your microphone is never used — Onomi does not request microphone access at all.
Onomi Pro is an auto-renewing subscription sold through Apple. All payment is handled by Apple; we never see or receive your card details, billing address or Apple ID.
To know whether your subscription is active, and to let you restore it on a new phone, we use RevenueCat, Inc. as a service provider. RevenueCat receives:

This identifier is not linked to your name, email or Apple ID. RevenueCat processes this information on our behalf; their privacy policy is at revenuecat.com/privacy.
Onomi is rated 4+ and is suitable for children. Because the app collects no personal information from anyone, it collects none from children either. We do not knowingly gather personal data from children of any age.
You can remove any word from your deck inside the app, and deleting Onomi removes every word, photo and record it ever created on your device. Because we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to export, correct or erase on request. Your subscription is managed by Apple, under Settings → your name → Subscriptions.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new effective date. Onomi collects nothing today, and any change that altered that would be announced in the app before it took effect.
